Manuscript Formatting Add-ons

Add the following services to your formatting order:

Editorial Corrections - $50.00 Base Rate plus $1.50 per correction
Although we highly recommend that authors submit their manuscript in its final, edited form for manuscript formatting, we realize that there will be occasions when the new layout brings to light editorial errors you may have missed. In this case, you may supply us with a list of editorial corrections, and we will make the changes to your formatted file. We will also review the layout for possible shifts created by the suggested changes and re-create your printer-ready PDF. (Please note that editorial changes that cause substantive shifting in the layout may incur additional charges. In some cases, we will offer you the chance to edit your own source file and return it to us to reformat.)

Page Layout Revisions - $15.00 per page
Even if you have purchased the Standard or Standard Select Formatting Service, you can still have an opportunity to fine-tune certain elements of your layout post-format. Perhaps you've decided that you don't like an image you've included in your original now that the final format is complete, and you would like to exchange it for another. Provide us with your layout request, and we will contact you to discuss your options. If the change is possible, you may simply pay per-page rather than purchase a format-level upgrade.

Table/Image Add-ons - $5.00 per image/table
If you have more than the 20 or 50 images/tables specified by your formatting service type, you may purchase add-ons (standard layout included).

Image Formatting - $10.00 per image
We will crop, trim, enhance the color or clarity (if possible), remove odd smudges or marks (if possible), improve scan cropping, straighten, or reduce the size of large images to fit within your document. We can also extract images from Word or PDF files.

Index Formatting - $100.00 Base Rate
If you have a pre-tagged Microsoft Word index in your original document, we will format your manuscript with the tags embedded and then update your pre-generated index. Alternatively, you may create an index by hand once the format is complete, submit your index entries and their corresponding page numbers in a separate file, and we will place the new pages and re-create your printer-ready PDF.

CD Archive - $25.00
We will create a CD Archive of your project, including your source file, images, and printer-ready PDF. (Mailing cost is included.)

E-book Creation - $25.00
Customize your printer-ready file for web or computer viewing. If your printer file is set for black and white printing, you may also request a color e-book. Your PDF will be optimized for faster downloading and viewing. You may also request a custom e-book, which may include active hyperlinks, a sidebar subject link, and password protection.
