Postal Mail - Electronic Submissions

When submitting a floppy disk or CD through postal mail, please make sure to protect them from damage. Please also verify the contents of the disk or CD before mailing to make sure that they are accessible and that your files have not been corrupted. All files will be checked for viruses before they are accessed. If your files contain a virus or are corrupted, you will be contacted so that you may send them again. (If you need to submit a hardcopy of your manuscript through postal mail, please see Submitting a Hardcopy Manuscript.)

To submit your manuscript on floppy disk or CD using postal mail:

1. Prepare the completed manuscript and any additional text to be reviewed.
Additional text may include author bios, previews, or press statements and will be handled at no extra cost provided they are submitted with the manuscript and do not exceed 1 - 2 pages each in length.

Manuscripts should be submitted as a single, merged file. You must submit your manuscript as a Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect, Open Office, Plain Text, or Rich Text document unless you have arranged for a file conversion or are receiving a printout of the work.

2. Compile graphics or specific formatting information.
If formatting or graphics services have been obtained, please be sure to provide us with any specific materials or information requested.

If it is necessary to mail materials, such as photographs, please avoid sending originals. If you require materials to be returned, please be sure to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your submission. Materials will be returned upon completion of the work.

3. Prepare an introductory page or file containing the following:

Contact Information - This should include your full name, e-mail address, a telephone number where you can be reached, and a street address.

Book Information - This should include any specific editorial notes, style sheets, or information not supplied in the sample edit process.

4. Contact us for our postal address.

*Note: Quoted turnaround does not include mail-time. All manuscripts are returned using Priority Mail unless otherwise specified.
