Extensive Editing is the third level of copyediting. This level includes a line-by-line edit of the manuscript for the following:

From the first moment that I dreamed of becoming a published author, I knew that I needed assistance, guidance, and most important, a caring, nurturing, professional editor. I found all of these qualities and far more with Stephanee Killen, senior editor and designer for Integrative Ink. From the first moment we spoke, her knowledge, kindness, and caring manner convinced me that Integrative Ink was the right organization to handle all of my publishing and editorial needs. Stephanee showed me how to write my story in a compelling, concise, clear manner. With Integrative Ink’s assistance, my book was published, sold over twenty thousand copies, and will soon be made into a major motion picture by Cinepro Pictures.

As the third and highest level of editing, we recommend an Extensive Edit for authors whose work may contain moderate to extensive problems with punctuation, grammar, point-of-view, tense, dialogue, narrative tone, and/or sentence structure and clarity. An extensive edit will also benefit those writing in English as a second language. If you feel that your work may need developmental assistance, such as commentary regarding character development, narrative flow, and overall plot, theme, or organizational issues, you may wish to consider receiving a Editorial Evaluation prior to obtaining Copyediting Services.

An extensive edit may also include Author Queries. If you would like additional assistance in addressing your author queries, or with a post-edit proofread, please note this in your preliminary contact. We offer authors a discount on post-edit proofreads. In addition, we will assist you with author queries free of charge. (We recommend that all authors receiving moderate or extensive editorial services consider having their work proofread prior to submitting to a publisher.)

*Note: Although basic layout is examined in Extensive Editing, formatting services must be obtained separately. Please see Interior Book Design for more details.
